Owner & Chief Marketing Officer
Rudi Arrowood is the owner and founder of two Putnam County based businesses- The KingMaker Marketing Agency and Putnam Princess Parties. Putnam Princesses has become a staple in the community for five years and, in that time, has sent thousands of characters to various parties and events throughout the tri-state. And KingMaker has helped fellow businesses with their marketing needs now for over three years.
Rudi has been all over the map in Putnam County. She grew up in Buffalo and graduated from Poca where she graduated salutatorian and was an all-state basketball player and show choir state champion. She now lives in the Hurricane area and works in Winfield.
A Concord University graduate, Rudi gained much of her on-air experience as a television news reporter at WCHS-TV in Charleston where she hosted the award winning “Fugitive Files.” That experience led to her serving as the as the Executive Director of the West Virginia Sheriffs’ Association where she lobbied for law enforcement and also coordinated all their special events and the youth leadership camp for hundreds of West Virginia teenagers. She then took her lobbying and media experience to become the Media Specialist for the West Virginia Department of Agriculture. Rudi also worked with children every day in Putnam County Schools where she served as the county’s Communications and Special Events Coordinator.
Rudi serves on the board of Marshall University’s Lewis College of Business and in her (very little) spare time she acts and sings with the Charleston Light Opera Guild, most recently as “Maria” in “The Sound of Music.” She is active in her church and enjoys helping her husband with media relations and sports information for his basketball team at Teays Valley Christian Prep… all while parenting two spoiled cats.
